1.) 1st - 31st October: Orpheus and Eurydice, Charing Cross

English National Opera is showing Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice (1762), the oldest of ENO’s Orpheus Series, directed by Wayne McGregor CBE in his ENO directorial debut. This brilliant production tells the dramatic story of musician Orpheus who, overcome with grief at the death of his beloved wife Eurydice, will go to any lengths to be reunited with her. Who doesn’t love an epic love story?

Orpheus and Eurydice opens Tuesday 1 October at 19:30 at the London Coliseum for 8 performances: Oct 1, 10, 17, 24, 31 & Nov 14, 19 at 19:30. Oct 12 at 14:00.

2.) 3rd - 6th October 2019: The Other Art Fair’s October Edition, Holburn

This October The Other Art Fair returns to historic Victoria House in Bloomsbury for its 18th London edition. Just 1.5 miles from Regents Park, it ensures visitors can conveniently travel between The Other Art Fair and Frieze throughout the weekend. Since its launch in 2011, The Other Art Fair has welcomed more than 167,000 visitors from around the world to its fairs, while becoming a mainstay of the London art scene. With its distinguished committee of experts and guest curators, The Other Art Fair has established itself as the fair of choice for London’s emerging collectors.

3.) 7th - 12th October 2019: Brian Parker Solo Show, Pall Mall

‘The Journey So Far...It's All About Me’ showcases a wide selection o work by Brian Parker, selected from the last 10 years of daily painting. Parker’s obsessions will be on display; People, Places, Dancers & Scenes from his own life, at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery this October. Eccentric, unlikely and yet still defiantly reverent of the everyday, this exhibition is Parker’s launch event which will present his outstanding paintings to London's art lovers.

4.) 19th October: Children’s Pie Masterclasses in the Pie Room at The Rosewood

Taking place on a monthly basis, the immersive pastry workshops at will allow six budding little chefs to takeover the acclaimed Pie Room. Each guest receives a personalised apron, chef’s hat, and miniature rolling pin to allow them to fully step into their new role as chef and learn how to make both a savoury and sweet dish from scratch. The next available class is on 19th October, adult classes are also available to book!
