ORIGINAL WORKS: FIN SPITERI HOSTS SERIES OF BAR TAKEOVERS AT ROCHELLE ICA
This August Fin Spiteri of Rochelle Canteen at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, will team up with some of his favourite drinking dens from across London, inviting them to join him behind the bar. For the rest of the summer, bartenders from Untitled, Ladies & Gentlemen and Quo Vadis will join Fin under the skylights of the Institute of Contemporary Arts to showcase new and unusual spirits and one-off libations.
Wednesday 8th August: Matthias Ingelmann from Untitled Bar will bring his Japanese-inflected style to the Institute of Contemporary Arts using Drum & Black’s botanical-infused spiced rum, one of the only artisan rums to be distilled in the UK.
21st August: Fin will team-up with Shane of North London hideaway Ladies & Gents catering to the more abstemious minded. Ladies and Gents founder Will Borrell has created a new spirit ‘The Low Alcohol Spirit With No Name’ – which Shane will spotlight to show that low-strength needn’t be low on flavour.
5th September: Fin will welcome his old guard from Quo Vadis, where he learnt the tricks of the trade, celebrating the best of British with London-based Whitley Neill gin.
19th September: Fin will reclaim his bar, serving Vestal vodka, taking things back to his roots with Vestal’s earthy flavours, in a series of terroir-inspired, classic cocktails.
The doors will open for each takeover at 7pm, with guest cocktails and classic British bar snacks created by Margot Henderson from cheese and chutney toasties to her signature radishes and smoked cod’s roe. Fin’s bar takeovers are non-ticketed, with drinks and snacks available on a first-come, first-served basis
