W London is one of London's most coveted hot spots for food and drinks, following a recent redevelopment of The Perception the hotel's alluring bar and restaurant. The brand new collaboration with British Chef, Ravinder Bhogal is certainly worth shouting about and we were delighted to try the mouth-watering menu this month. Talented Ravinder has combined her global culinary influences, creating an entirely vegan menu which will be served in The Perception at W London until the end of June 2018.

The Perception at W London is the ideal place to spend time conversing with friends, family or colleagues. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant and the eye-catching decor can be described as a marriage between New York in the 1970s (hello giant disco ball) and popular cartoon The Jetsons (futuristic interior features). There is always something around the corner waiting to surprise you! Ravinder's menu adds an additional layer of colour and excitement to the hotel's bar and restaurant, making this the ultimate location to hang out and be wowed in W1. 

“Whether you consider veganism an ethical movement, belief system, or fad diet right up there with Paleo and gluten-free, there’s no denying we have reached a critical moment in its evolution. All that aside, my reasons for creating this menu are more personal. My niece and I have a very tight bond - she is a best friend and more like a sister - she even gave me away at my wedding. When she became vegan, it made it necessary for me to think about a different way of cooking. I have really enjoyed the process of working with vegetables, fruits, grains and pulses without having to rely on the safety blankets of meat and dairy. I suppose this menu is a love letter to Avneet - I always want to make sure she is well fed.” - Ravinder Bhogal

Jess and I were wowed by how flavoursome and delicious Ravinder's food was. Jess is a meat eater and I am a pescatarian, yet we are both open minded when it comes to dining. We love to eat seasonally and will often venture out in search of new and exciting 'healthy hot spots'. The Perception has shot to the top of our list of favourites and we are more than confident that our meat-eating friends will agree with how wholesome and satisfying this excellent menu is.

Revinder Bhogul rose to fame when she was named by Gordon Ramsay as his 'new Fanny Craddock', on popular TV show The F Word. Ravinder opened her first restaurant, JIKONI, in 2016, to a rapturous reception in the heart of London’s bustling Marylebone. She was named one of London's 100 Tastemakers in Food & Drink, as part of the Evening Standard's Progress 1000 list of London's most influential people.

“We are incredibly excited to be working with the fantastic Ravinder Bhogal for the second round of our Dining Series. Channelling her exemplary talent into an innovative vegan menu will add panache and excitement to Soho, strengthening its reputation for high-quality, original and convivial cuisine. Taking inspiration from Ravinder, our talented bar team will also be offering a vegan cocktail reflecting her unique flavour and spice combinations and will also be serving two vegan wines to complement our delicious dining experience.” - Benjamin Cowtan, Beverage & Food Director at W London 

Ravinder's innovative collaboration with W London will attract vegans and non-vegans alike and will continue to be much-loved dining destination. The menu is available until the end of June 2018 and is available Monday - Sunday, 6pm – 11pm.
